This garnet coloured wine has a ripe nose which evokes floral, violet notes and red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry and red currant.
On the palate it is fresh, light and well balanced in construction with a hint of earthy herbaceousness alongside the crunchy red fruits.
The Cabernet Franc grape really shows its best in the Anjou region of France’s Loire Valley.
A little lighter bodied than Cabernet Sauvignon but with delightful spicy notes, it is at its best when drunk cool. (15 deg.)
