Produced and bottled at Stârmina Castle – Vinarte Winery, Mehedinti – Romania.
With its position in the south-western region of the country, in close proximity of the Danube, with a climate advantaged by the Mediterranean influence, this vineyard has always produced remarkable wines. There is an ideal temperature throughout the year and a significant number of sunny hours, very important elements for the grapes to reach full maturity.
Feteasca Neagra is a true grape variety of Romania and delivers a really fruity punch.
Harvesting is done by hand, with only a quality selection of grapes being made. The maceration and the alcoholic fermentation take place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
It is here that malolactic fermentation and maturation take place. Once the maturation period is complete, the wine is bottled.
Food Match: Red meats, small game, red meat-based dishes and mature cheeses.
