Description
A typically Sauvignon attack, very fresh with intense citrus fruit notes, leads into a forthright and attractively complex mid-palate on tropical fruit flavours, while a floral touch on the finish brings freshness and elegance.
Baron Philippe de Rothschild makes varietal wines from the south of France, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The Domaine also makes wines using grapes from the Uco Valley. The name Rothschild first emerged from the obscurity of the Frankfurt back streets 200 years ago. It quickly became a synonym for quality and excellence, whether in the field of financial services, wine, science, fine art of architecture. Across two centuries and many generations, the Rothschild emphases have remained unchanged – on innovation, industriousness and above all on the strength which lies in unity.
