Chateau De La Gardine has two styles of white Chateauneuf, this one is the fresh, youthful style for relatively young drinking.
A blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussane, Bourboulenc and Clairette gives good complexity whilst preserving a beautiful freshness.
The grapes are hand harvested and 2/3rds are fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel with the remainder in barrel.
Aged for 1 year prior to bottling the wine is pure and full on the nose, ripe and soft on the palate with good fruit and equilibrium between fruit and acidity.
The finish is delicious with apricot notes lingering.
