This is a small property with just 3 hectares of vineyard right in the heart of the St Emilion appellation.
The family property reflects their great desire to make exceptional wines.
Merlot dominates this wine (70%) with the balance being of equal proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This gives a good core of structure. There was a pre-fermentative maceration to extract good colour and fruit flavours with a post fermentation vatting of 3 weeks. Ageing was in new oak barrels for 12 months.
It has a delightful colour that is well saturated, a nose that couldn’t be anything but St Emilion!, a firm yet elegant palate with supple tannins with a hint of menthol and toast in the finish. It is certainly very approachable now but it has great potential for the future also.
