This Domaine Alain Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles 2013 has a pretty, complex bouquet with touches of apricot and orange blossom complementing the mineral scents coming forth with aeration. The palate is crisp and fresh with sour lemon on the entry, a little withdrawn towards the finish but linear and focused.
There is a subtle marine influence that draws you into its charms.
Puligny-Montrachet sits in the south of the Côte de Beaune. The Les Pucelles vineyard is one of the most prestigious premiers crus of Puligny-Montrachet.
Located in the northern part of the village just near the grands crus of Bienvenues and Bâtard Montrachet, the soils here are a mix of clay and limestone with plenty of gravel permitting good drainage.
