Description
The great flavours of raisins and damsons and modest oak spice, supported by soft ripe tannins. This wine has good structure and balance with a long juicy finish. This certainly is a fine example of a Shiraz from the Cape.
Franschhoek’s well-preserved original station building gives the wine its name. The station is reminiscent of the work of the lauded British architect, Sir Herbert Baker, hence the name. The charming building follows Cape Dutch revival lines with its unmistakable gable and form.
