Description
This Moccagatta Barbaresco is made of grapes from two different communes.
The grapes grown in Barbaresco give a wine that is well structured and deeply flavoured, whilst those grown in the sandier soils of Neive add a plentiful fruit character that makes drinking this wine today a real joy.
Tight and pleasantly streamlined, the 2011 Moccagatta Barbaresco is a fantastic expression that hits a chord and veers towards a modern style, yet is still firmly rooted in Nebbiolo tradition. Soft cherry, leather, tobacco and tar rise from the glass and wine is smooth and richly textured on the close.
