*Domaine Horgelus Merlot / Tannat Cotes de Gascogne Rouge

This Domaine Horgelus red wine’s grapes are a blend of 60% merlot and 40% tannat.  The Tannat grape is a local grape variety which is used to make powerful and rich red wines.  There is a concentration of aromas comprising of spices, licquorice and blackcurrant which is fabulous.  The dark fruit flavours are supported by the soft, ripe tannis on the palate.  Best eaten with roast or grilled meats and soft cheese.

Minimum Order is 6 Bottles

Please Note: This doesn't have to be 6 of the same bottle, it can be mixed.

Orders in multiples of 6 thereafter

The two grape varieties in this wine work really well together.  There are the sweet and savoury Merlot notes which mingle well with the elegant but powerful Tannat, Gascon grape.

This is a wine that is surprisingly inexpensive that can be drunk with many different types of food.  It is very well balanced with a depth of flavour of blackcurrant, bramble and small red fruit, with the addition of spices.

There are no oaky flavours to detract from the pure fruit and this makes it a great quaffing wine in all seasons.
